HOURS OF OPERATION
6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Monday-Friday except holidays) and now offering extended evening hours and Saturdays rides

Charlevoix County Transit, in cooperation with Charlevoix County Commission on Aging provides rides without cost to all persons over 60 years old.

Since 1980, Charlevoix County Transit has been providing public transportation throughout the county including Beaver Island. The transit system operates 17 ADA accessible buses and provides over 80,000 rides annually.

Snowmobile & ORV

Snowmobiles, ORVs and ATVs  are allowed in most areas of Boyne City within the City limits.  All local, county and state laws must be observed.

ORVs / ATVs / Dirt Bikes are not allowed on the 100 & 200 blocks of Water St. while Snowmobiles are not allowed on the 100 & 200 blocks of Water St. and Lake St.  Please click on the links below to view maps and read all local, county and state laws that need to be followed.

Waterways

Did you know you can get here from anywhere in the world by boat?  Boyne City is located on Lake Charlevoix which connects to Lake Michigan via the channel in Round Lake (Charlevoix) and then from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and finally through the St. Lawrence Seaway and out to the Atlantic Ocean!
