Summer taxes due by September 14 and Winter by February 14 without interest and penalty.  (If the 14th falls on a weekend or holiday, call City Hall to verify the last date/time a payment will be accepted)

Both the Summer and Winter taxes are payable in our office until February 28th of the current year, after which time they are payable to Charlevoix County.

If you have questions regarding your tax bill, need to request a copy, or need a receipt mailed to you; contact City Hall 231.582.6597.

You are responsible for notifying us of any change in address for taxes. Unfortunately, we do not automatically receive address changes from realtors or title companies. We can take address change information only. Name changes, or marital status for example, must be done at the Charlevoix County Register of Deeds office (231) 547-7204.

If you are paying your taxes through an escrow account with your mortgage company, we will provide the information to your bank at their request. However, state statute requires that the City mail the tax bill to the property owner on record.
