Joe and Nick will hold regular office hours in each community. As an added convenience, residents of these municipalities may visit or call Joe or Nick at any of these office locations regardless of where you reside.

Property Tax Assessment
For questions regarding your property assessments throughout the year contact the assessing office. A vast number of questions can be answered and disputes addressed without a board of review appointment. If you do not feel that you received satisfactory results or have unanswered questions, the board of review is your next step.

2022 July Board of Review Dates:
Special Meeting: Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
The Board of Review will hold a Special Meeting at
the Boyne City City Hall on July 20th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. to correct qualified errors,
Principle Residence Exemptions, Qualified Agricultural Exemptions, Poverty Exemptions, and
Qualified Disabled Veterans Exemptions in the 2022 assessment and, or tax roll.
An owner of property that is a “qualified principle residence”, or is a “qualified
agricultural property" on June 1, may appeal to the Board of review if an
affidavit was claimed to have been filed, but the exemption was not on the tax roll. Pursuant to
MCL 211.7b, exemptions for qualified disabled veterans or their surviving unmarried spouses
may also be heard.

Do you believe your property tax assessment is incorrect based on a recent sale/purchase, current appraisal, or similar comparisons and you weren't able to resolve the issue with the assessor? Meet with the Board of Review (BOR).
