With the exception of farmers market, festivals and special events, dogs are permitted in the park as long as they are on a leash.

Veteran's Memorial Park is home to an expansive wood play structure, the site of the Veterans Memorial, the F. Grant Moore Municipal Marina, the Farmers Market and is the hub of activity along the lakefront. The community uses the park for little league baseball, picnicking, strolling, jogging, rollerblading and cycling, boating, fishing, and watching sunsets from its west-facing shoreline.
