Representatives from the City and its engineering firm C2AE will be present to share preliminary plans, seek input and address questions and concerns regarding the project.
The Douglas Street project is proposed to take place during the spring of 2013 and includes storm sewer replacement/installation, street reconstruction, curb and gutter and possibly some sidewalk. The project will start at Lincoln St. and head down the hill to the intersection of Pleasant Ave. The reason for this project is to address storm water run-off issues not only on Douglas Street but the effect it has in the surrounding area. There has also been some preliminary discussion about reconfiguring or closing partial street access around the triangle where Pleasant Avenue, Douglas and Cedar Streets meet. Conceptual drawings and maps will be shown at the meeting for discussion purposes.
